Mastering FamilySearch.org

Online Class

When I think back to why I created my Mastering FamilySearch.org online class, it was an evolution really. I'd been teaching genealogy classes to a local group and seeing people either struggling to use FamilySearch.org or not using it at all! I felt an intense pull to help family researchers learn more about this invaluable resource that is FREE to use with NO yearly subscription.

And so, little by little, I began creating engaging and “hands-on” lessons to explain step-by-step how to use FamilySearch.org and simplify the user experience.

When I finally launched my class, emails started pouring in with such positive and heartwarming messages. People were finally able to:

  • Find ancestors they have been unable to find for years

  • Up their search strategy game

  • Break genealogy brick walls

  • Successfully search and locate “hidden” historical records

Think of where this class could take your family research!

It was a fun and interesting approach to learning, one that forces you to get your hands dirty and find things for yourself. It helped me tremendously to learn the concepts!

Hallo Genealogy Services has opened up a vast landscape of techniques for searching for genealogical records within Family Search that I simply did not know existed. Tamara explains search methods and techniques in a very straightforward and informative manner.
